Michelle King at Milvali Salon on Union is a consistently fabulous hair stylist! I have been going to her since August 2023 and she is always on-point with the blonde highlights and great at cutting my long, curly hair. There have been periods of time where I wanted curtain bangs, wanted my hair darker, needed adjustment in the toning of my hair, wanted my hair longer, etc -- and she is very accommodating. Most times I don't want heat applied to my hair, and she is flexible with what the customer wants, non-judgmental and respectful. I also enjoy spending time with her, because she is entertaining and cute. She may be pricy ($110-$450 depending on the treatment), but her hair care and the investment is worthwhile. And my hair is a feature that I love showing off! Check out my hair over the years...

Milvali Salon is on Union Street, which is nice because it's in a cool area with lots of shopping. The salon itself is an upscale boutique vibe, which is comfortable and cool. There's music, good lighting and friendly people. The street parking isn't great (unless you get lucky), so I usually go for the parking garage across the street. Booking is easier over the telephone. Their online booking is not easy because you cannot book more than one service at a time (like a partial highlight + haircut). Better to just call during business hours....more

I went to Malvali after getting extensions at another salon for a quick blending cut. On top of the blending cut, Deb took time to teach me how to style my new extensions (first timer), take care of them, and properly sleep with them. I left with a great blended cut and a lot more confidence in the extensions I just had installed a few days earlier. Deb mentioned a good time to switch salons if I want to is when I’m done with the usability of my current extensions (about 1 year) but I feel so confident about my experience with Deb I’ll likely switch over as soon as my extensions grow out enough to be adjusted.

For context: I have naturally curly 3c blonde hair and didn’t realize what great hair and color options they have for me and my desired length either all at a much more affordable range than what I’d previously been quoted within San Francisco.

I got micro-link (Itip) extensions at Milvali Salon. I can not even begin to explain how amazing these look and how impressed I am!
This is my first time getting extensions and during my consultation, all my questions were answered and the process explained. I am so relieved that I decided to use this method provided by Milvali versus some others I was looking into.
These look perfectly natural, feel quite comfortable, and add gorgeous volume and length. Also, the maintenance required isn't too much for my lifestyle.
I am not exaggerating when I say that this is the best my hair has ever looked in my life! Just take a look at the before and after photos I included.
Deb applied the extensions and she is absolutely wonderful. I wish I remembered the names of the other people I met there because they were also so friendly and fantastic.
Side note.. in my opinion, the prices were extremely reasonable as well. I was expecting this to be more expensive. Especially with the quality of hair that is used, 100% Remy Human Hair.
The salon also takes the necessary safety precautions to prevent the spread of Covid19. Everyone, including myself, wore a mask. The salon is very clean. Hand sanitizer is available. My temperature was checked and I was asked questions regarding my (lack of) exposure. I was also given a plastic bag to seal my purse in. Presumably so that I didn't drag my bag (which could have been exposed) around the salon. Smart.

Cut exactly how I asked for it. I'm used to less than perfect haircuts because of my multiple cowlicks and straight hair but Emmy worked with my hair and styled it around how it will grow out. Very happy with the style I walked away with!

Men's cut is $50, well worth it considering you get a wash and it's a scissor cut. I've gone to barbershops all over the city and they're starting to charge $50 for a fade and trim, they throw in a cheap beer to make you feel like a man. I prefer a premium experience for that kind of money over an in and out cut and tecate....more

Multiple people will stop by the chair to offer you drinks, make a coffee run, feed your meter, etc. always with a smile on their faces. They carry all the top brand products and the stylists are super well versed in this area but NEVER pressure you to buy. I've been getting eyelash extensions with Jamila since she was at her previous location! She is simply the best! I always leave with the most gorgeous eyelashes and get compliments on them by literally everyone I meet! Best part is that everyone thinks they are natural lashes, even though I always add a color accent to my lashes. This time it's purple! Yes! She has colored lash extensions! Yes, she got them specially for me and I am currently her only client who uses them. But you can make your unicorn lash dreams come true too! She also has a super awesome recliner for you to take your lash nap in while you're getting them done. I definitely fell asleep for about an hour. Hehe. I cannot speak highly enough of the amazing, friendly service I received from this little gem of a salon! The owner Deb truly went out of her way by gifting me with a delicious minty lipgloss. Her staff went above and beyond to accomadate me last minute on my birthday.

I had been very hesitant about anyone touching my hair or my extentions after a few bad experiences, but this was the best place to break out of my "hair re-hab".

Noel whipped up some magic ✨ to turn my brown locks into perfectly placed sun kissed balayage highlights. Noel also, suggested a caviar chronilogist treatment which deeply conditions to breath new life back into dull hair... I cannot believe the difference in my hair. I love this treatment and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my balayage!

Deb was a life saver ! And my extensions have never felt or looked this great..
